Well got back in town last night, jump in truck and fire it up and look at the gauges. AHHHHHH one of them is flickering. It is my SPA boost/egt guage. Its just the backlight and it appears to be just one of two lights that are in there. I know someone has opened one of these up, is there a quick fix?? or do I need to send off an email to see about some repair?? For now I have turned off the backlighting, hard to see the numbers but not driving me crazy.

By the way, I have another guage that is hooked to the same power and I soldierd the connections so I doubt its an electrical problem with the hookup.

Mine started doing the exact same thing about a week ago. After awhile, one of the two backlights went out completely. In a way, it is better now for night driving - not overly bright like the original - just enough light to see the numbers.

I think I like it better now, but, when light #2 burns out, then I'll be upset too!

JR2, My boost/egt gauge doesn't flicker but I've noticed that the upper left hand side is getting dark.

yes john the backlight led is goin out..... ask patrick what he wants to do. I do have two old boost egt guages one is sorta spoken for the other is pretty open ask patrick what he thinks...

Yesterday mine flickerd... today it was operating just fine and then bang one light. I agree, having only one light is nice, the lighting level is perfect.

I am going to e-mail Patrick Lynch at SPA about it and see what he says. Maybe he has some of the old ones just laying around or maybe he can fix it up. I am going to wait till next week as there are fish that need to be caught and summer is short in Alaska.

After what I have exprienced with mine for the last year, I am convinced it was a $325 piece of junk.

I should have known better, computers have no place on a Diesel.

I am a sucker.
