SPA trouble

Hello,

I installed a SPA Boost/EGT guage in my truck and I can not get it to keep menu changes. The guage works fine, but I am stuck with the factory default settings. You can change a menu, Example: Centigrade to Farenheight, but when you go to the rEt menu and return to normal guage operation the guage stays in centigrade.

This is with any menu changes. I also tried turning power off after exiting the menu I changed , did not keep change this way .

A friend mine who has a SPA Boost / Egt could not get it to keep changes. Do these guages have a memory battery inside? Could this be the problem?

Kent, I have just installed the SPA guages too. The instruction book is a bit hard to figure out... atleast it was for me. I'll look at mine tomorrow and see if I can help you figure them out. Do you have the EGT/Boost and the Fuel pres. /Temp? Tell me exactly what you want to do. Chris

I have the series 1 gauges. I know they don't have batteries. They have a EEPROM. It stores memory even if they don't have power.



I also just reset my peaks. All I did was go to the right place in the menu held the red button for over 2 seconds and it reset them. I turned off the power to get out of the menu system. They were reset when I turned the power back on.



Have you tried to call Patrick or tried to email him? I am pretty sure he could answer your questions.

I am going to give Patrick a call at SPA, I have a feeling this guage will have to go back to the factory for repair. I have tried numerous times to change settings like Barryg41 described and when you turn the guage on it still has the factory setting. This is with any change you try, peaks, units, deg, etc.
