Bought Me A Little 4 X 8

Do you still have a CDL?

My current truck in my sig is used just for towing to and from race tracks these days. I was tired of cleaning my rear dually fender. I looked around to purchase a turn down tip. I was talking with a fellow racer that works for Thomas Built buses. He suggested I get people asking questions and use the Turn Down tip you see on new School buses. I also see them on newer rigs with mufflers that exit under the frame.

The part is called a "Exhaust Diffuser"! :-laf

It works great and I have been asked many many times where I sourced it. :p

I will be honest, when I installed this I also installed a FRE resonator. So my exhaust noise level returned to "stockish". I am just surprised how well it keeps the fender clean! :)

Ron,

I run a 4" silverline with the Resonator mounted under the cab, and the silverline muffler in the stock location. The truck has turbo whistle out of the tail pipe but is very close to stock noise level. I love the combo.

Do you still have the Cat?

I like the quietness of the stock muffler, but would like to shed some of the heat by replacing my Cat with a resonator of some type and see what it would do! I am told the straight through mufflers/resonators can be ran different directions... one way for flow and the other direction for quieter tone. Would be nice to hear from others TDR members of their near stock quiet exhaust setups too. I may post another thread to see if there are any muffler setups out there to replace the Cat pipe.

Thread resurrection!

Where can I purchase a diffuser tip such as the one above? I have tried the search thing online and got a bunch of chrome rice burner tips. Help!

I can't seem to get the part # to bring up a price. Guess I will just have to call the company. Anyone else have any luck?
