Spanner size

Can anyone tell me the spanner size and not the part # for adjusting the preload on the thrust bearing on the steering gear?

If you want to just tighten it and not be torque specific, you could use a couple punches and a large screwdriver. Kind of crude but it would work.

You really don't need a spanner. Use a circular punch and hammer. Tap until snug. Mark across the plate and case for a reference and back off 3 mm. Then put the lock nut back on. A thin bladed screw driver will work.
