I joined a Cummins owners club to get a discount on Cummins parts. I called Cummins South East Power in Tampa to get a spare LP. They had 37 on hand, great right?,NOT

The parts guy says they average sales of 140 LP a month. Let's see therre are 20 work days a month, that's 7 pumps a day! That is only for Tampa store.

YeeGads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just thought it gave some more crediability as to "Houston, I think we have a problem" in the LP department.

Thats funny

When I bought mine at cummins west in Ventura they acted like they have never sold one. But the sales person sure new the part number and where to pull it off the shelf, pretty fast. Mine went out around 34k. Later... ... ...

Kurt,

Wish I had known, I would have called you. I think this is the last lp I will need to buy. I'm adding a Stanadyne Filter Manager (5 micron filter with water seperator) with the lift pump option (adds 6 psi to the OEM lp output) prior to the OEM lp. I also run Stanadyne Performance Formula in every tank.

Good filtering, good pressure, no water. Should last a LONG time. The one I got is for spare status. Well, see, miles will tell.

IF I ever need another one I certainly will call you.

aside - did you ever get the bypass kit for the KSB1B manufactured?

I LOVE my KSB1B. Wonderful turbo!, would not leave home without it, lol.
