I'm looking to maybe get the Transfer flow 30 gal behind the axle aux tank. But I really dont want to move my spare. Tool box/tank will not work for me. ANyone have the 30 gal tank? What did you do with your spare? I would still like to carry one, but need my bed fairly un-obstructed for carrying sheets of drywall, etc. Also have a tonuea cover so really cant mount the tire vertical in the bed.

I know that this one sounds kind of hard and maybe impossible but let me know if anyone has any ideas or experience with this tank and set up and what u did with your spare.

Thanks in advance

disregard

Dont know where my head was at when I was reading about this tank. It 38 gallons not 30 and will only fit an 8 ft bed. I have a 6ft bed. Thanks anyways

I've thought a lot about this one as well since the 38 gal tank offers a lot more bang for the buck compared to the 54 gal replacement tank. The only spare tire solution I've come up with is a swing away tire rack like Andy Perrault has on his truck. This works for me except when I tow my 5th wheel.....

I had a similar issue on another truck years ago and we ended up building a mount that attached the spare to an existing brush guard. Kinda ugly if it's your Saturday Night Lets go Out kinda truck though. This was a work truck and looks weren't a big issue.

You could put one of those front hitch recievers on, and get a tire rack to go on it.

Sort of what 99guy said, but I feel it's a bit more secure.

Aerotanks - one alternative perhaps?

You might want to check into what Aerotanks has to meet your requirement. I have their 60 Gal replacement tank under the bed on my 3500 long bed and a Rickson 19. 5 inch tire/rim combo in the stock location fits like the proverbial glove.

Good luck!
