We will be living Fri 8/14 AM for Sacramento. Which Casinos in Sparks, NV are RV friendly for a o’nite stay in their parking lot? IE- easy in/out and not packed in like cordwood.

Thanks for your information

The Boomtown casino just 10 miles or so west of Reno on I-80 has FREE overnight RV parking available (in addition to the fee park, if you need hookups), pretty much straight in thru the main entrance - there's also a new Cabellas right next door - easy walking distance.

A few years ago, Reno passed a city ordinance prohibiting o'nite parking in the parking lots. There's a nice RV park accross from the Peppermill ($), or the other suggestions may be better for you.

I believe Sparks still allows it.

It was in part due to a new Wallymart that went in and people were afraid of overnighters. Walmart said fine, we'll post your signs, but we won't enforce it. That's the city's job. I've seen overnighters there.

I think the point that some of you may be missing is this; There is practically nothing further than 15 minutes drive from anywhere in Reno or Sparks where you can park your RV. My personal choice would be the Grand Sierra. The only bad part of it is it's right in the flight path of the airport and they are LOW right there, meaning it's noisy. I generally don't go farther west than Vista Blvd or further south than Glendale so I can't comment on anything near the Peppermill. DO NOT stay at that place on Mill St. near Renown Medical Center.

If Sparks allows it, the Wal-Mart in Spanish Springs may be a viable alternative.

Thanks for all your information, I think I will try Boomtown for an o'nighter then go to Cabellas. I could spend a week in there.

May you have fair winds and following seas- that means NO headwind when traveling in your RV's.
