I have a drivers rear speaker that has a pop noise

It is real low and happens just once in a while

I had it in to the dealer to replace clockspring and had them replace the speaker. (I didn't see the job done) I already called to ask if they replace it ,and you know the answer.

My ? is has anybody else had anything like this?

any thoughts

thanks

I am assuming you mean the speaker is making an electronic pop noise.

If that's the case, I would guess it's coming from the amplifier (head unit).

I have a device at work which releases a small charge to the speakers about every 5 minutes or so. My guess is that it is caused by a capacitor discharging. This discharge to a speaker would make a quick pop noise, and completely go away until it's built up enough juice to discharge again.

I doubt it's the speaker itself. Speakers can't make any noise without electrical current supplied to them

Just my thoughts.

Ray's diagnoses sounds good to me. I had a dealer do a even better one. Took my truck in for a recall and when I picked it up the stereo sounded funny. Come to find out the tweeters are missing. I call the dealer who is 200 miles away and tell them, they say they will take care of it. Receive tweeters in the mail and when I go to install them I can see the angle that the wires were cut on the speakers exactly matches my hanging wires. Go figure.
