I need to know how to bypass the speaker amps on a Infinity system. I'm changing the speakers on my truck, and was told it is a pain to do. PLEASE help!!! What color wires do I need to connect to the new door speakers? Which 2 wires do I have to spice together so the rear speakers will work? Thanks for ANY info!!!!!!!!!

I installed a new head unit, amp and speakers in my 02. Here is how Crutchfield had me wire it. All speakers (tweeters also) worked great. I too had the Infinity system so this should work for you also.

Driver front : splice yellow/red and dark green and new speaker +

splice Yellow/blk to brn/red and new speaker -

Driver rear: splice brn/yellow and wh/violet together then spice

brn/light blue and wh/dk grn together

Passenger front: splice lb/red and violet and new speaker +

splice db/red and lb/blk and new speaker -

Passenger rear: splice db/wh and tan/violet

splice db/or and tan/blk

Just unplug the old rears and reconnect the new rear speakers with the wires you just took off the old speaker

Also tape or insulate the black with red tracer and black with violet wires in both doors. These are the power/ground wires for the amps.

Good luck. Phil

HELLO. .

I have a 98 Dodge Ram with the Infinity system,,of course the front speakers are blown.

I bought a set of INFINITY speakers but they were 4 Pin connectors an mine are 6 Pin.

Any one got any ideas on how to convert?

I had some OLD speaker an tried to jump the contacts to see if I could get to work,,but three differant wires gave me SOUND!!... Just wondering if one pin or color wire is best for hooking up to after market speakers??

THANKS

Mike
