Im getting a order ready for GENOS GARAGE and I need som opinions. . First off, is the Fleetguard micro recomended more than the standard since I change my oil EVERY 3000?
2. Do I need to replace the water sending sencer? I had a water in fuel problem about 30k ago and after purging the tank and replacing the filter, Ive never had the light come back on. Only with the key in the start mode. I get no water when I drain the bowl.
3. How is the idea of moving the fuel filter and going with a spin on?
4. Do I need a special transmition oil?
Thanks

98 Quad Cab 4X4 Cummins PAID WAY TOO MUCH$$$$$$$$ Automatic Totally loaded Minus fuel sender plus right brake pull, no extra charge! K&N filter, Line X spray on liner that chips everytime I haul something, WORTHLESS CHRYSLER 7/100,000 WARANTY, First name basis with Enterprise Rent a Car and my local AAA tow truck driver.

I like my Primeloc! My veritable birdcage of brake-lines (big master cyl,3 hardlines, occupies a lot of space) made the stock location very unappetizing twice, but not a 3rd time. (a buddy's 97 with different brakes was much more convenient, and I'm not sure that I'd have done the spending for the Primeloc,if it'd been mine) The replacement filters for Primeloc (different model of Fleetgard #ad
) are cheaper than the stock ones, by about $4 each. (will only take 40 more changes to hit "breakeven"! #ad
) I also like the restriction guage.

"Special transmission oil"---Amsoil seems nice. I must admit, though, I didn't have a temp guage until got Amsoiled, so can't give you eyewitness account of lower temps, though, I've heard of 40*F reduction.
I also had a remote transmission filter (mine from B+M, with 3/8"fittings) installed in the return line. Takes a PH8A or equivalent. If you want bigger fittings for a higher flowrate, there's other filter-headers available from hydraulic places, or tractor supply places, but it seems to keep the transmission-sump sufficiently full to operate.
I change it every other oil-change, and replace the lost quart of fluid at that time, as well.
Engine gets fresh Delo/microglass every 3K
transmission gets 1 qt of fresh Amsoil"4" and new filter every 6K
Primeloc will get a new spin-on when the restriction indicator tells me to.
The K&N 880 hasn't needed a cleaning yet.
