Special deal on Uconnect maps!

late last week I got an email with VIN specific information from Uconnect/ Mopar offering a $50 break on the 8.4 Maps/Nav update. I ordered, and with 2 day shipping, I just got it today. The total with tax and all was $118.62. I haven’t loaded it yet, but the tag on the drive says North America Map 2018. I’ll report back with a screen shot of the version.

They all get the maps from Garmin, so why is RAM so far behind? GM and Ford are not!!!!

You're a trailblazer. Let us know what we need to do to get it right the first time. I want to keep mine updated, not a lot else good for that 8.4" screen, for my tired old eyes.

As I’m waiting for the customer service to open, I decided to look into “here” which is the company who shipped the update. It seems that they are the source for lots of navigation systems.

FCA doesn't get any "GREEN" points for this one. Idling that long forced truck into regen. I would NOT leave ignition in run THAT long without it running, even with two big batteries.

Aren't they just going to swap out the RA3 for the RA4?

I just picked up a real clean 2013 2500 crew 4X4 CTD. It has Uconnect 8.4A but no navigation. I would love to have navigation turned on but gosh at $600 that’s a lot for an almost 6yr old truck. And I have a nice large screen German with lifetime maps and traffic updates. Plus my iPhone. Anyone know of any discounts being offered?

You never know if there is a discount unless you ask. Do you have dealer you've done business with? I've done business with mine for 19 years, bought 3 diesel trucks, 1 gas truck, and a Jeep. They almost always give me some kind of discount. I too have a lifetime Garmin and a Lifetime Magellan, but would be ashamed to have that big 8.4 screen without full functionality.

So last night the price for
UCONNECT 8.4A (RA3) ACTIVATION was $595 now it is $445 wonder if it will go lower?

That's about 25% savings. Maybe Google to see if been offered lower than that before, but if it includes the most current maps, that's not really all that bad. I like the big screen and voice integration. I know it sounds like I'm trying to sell this, but I made up my mind when I bought my trucks with all this technology, I was going to use it and keep it current.
