Veteran's Day

I just returned home after attending the 228th Marine Corps BD and felt compelled to write a letter of thanks to all of our veterans. At our birthday celebration in Palmer we had Marine veterans from WWII and other more recent conflicts. I am reminded of the sacrifices that our veterans and their families have endured in order to make our country what it is. While Nov. 10th is a special day for Marines, Nov. 11th is a day for us to say “Thank You” to all who have served and to all those who do so now. We are reminded almost daily that our military personnel, literally, put their lives on the line so that we can enjoy the freedoms that we take for granted. So from this Vietnam vet to all of you who are now serving and have served.
