I'm looking at a 92, and have a few questions.

1. What is the difference between a W250 and D250?

2. What is the HP and Torque and did this year have an intercooler?

3. What is the tow rating (trailer and 5th wheel) and payload?

4. Does the Banks stinger plus make a big power difference?

5. Does it have manual lockout hubs?

Thanks for the help.

W=4x4, D=2wd.

160HP and 400 torque.

Yes, it's innercooled.

My 93 D-250 with manual trans 3. 54 gears, and reg. cab has a 16,000 GCWR and the truck is 8510 GVWR.

Not sure on the Banks stuff.

Truck should have manual hubs with a Dana 60 front axle.

Curb weight on my W250, 5sp. , w/ about 1/2 tank of fuel, a 200lb headache rack, a 150lb toolbox, is just under 7000lbs. Oh, and I got about 20mpg summer, 18-19 winter with this truck.

for what its worth, i have been averaging 23 miles per us gal empty ( ok, with a steel boat rack, canopy and winch bumper ) and have got better than 26 . average distance travelled per 90-95 liter fill ( this is canada eh !) is better than 900 km. when i turf the camper on board, the gross at the scales is 9600 lbs, and i still got 16 average from vancouver to toronto and return ( over 10000 km ). oh, as i have had three of these trucks ( didnt wear them out, the first 2 got stolen ) i recall on my first 91, it was an auto and i got 100-150 km less per tank, but it may have been the way i drove it!!!...
