Speed Control went south

Today my speed control quit working. At first it was intermittent. I could set the speed, but after I canceled or braked it wouldn't reset until I stopped the truck and turned off the key. Then it would set again until I braked. Now it won't work at all. The cruise indicator comes on but that is all. Any ideas? Thanks.

There are two typical problems with the cruise. First check the vacuum lines to make sure that they have not either rubbed a hole in the line or burned against the manifold. The next thing would be to check the clock spring(would be my guess by your descipition) but you need the service manual or the electronic scanner(DRBIII).
