Speed/Cruise Control

My Cruise control usually works for a little while, then it will kick out for no apparent reason. "Cruise" light is still on, but it won't work until truck is turned off and restarted. Sometimes it will work a while, then if I push Accel button, it quits. Other times it won't even work at all. What should I look for?

The DRBIII has a screen that shows the last reasons the cruise was shut off. That should give a clue as to what is causing it to cancel.

Does your truck have a speed control servo? I don't recall what year trucks had it, but they had a small vacuum pump and the hose would split between the pump and the servo.
