My understanding is that they are rev limited and there is several variables that can affect this such as tire size.

Tire size doesn't affect the rev limiter, it affects the speed you are going at that RPM.

With 265/75/16 tires 3300RPM is 120MPH.
With 285/75/16 tires 3300RPM is 125MPH.

This is with a NV5600 in 6th.

I have an Excel program that calculates this, PM me with your email and I'll send it to you.

Cheers, John

man, I love going fast as much as the next guy, but 120 in my truck would scare the living daylights out of me! Now, in my 2wd Dakota. . that's another story ;)

Mine runs right to the 3400 RPM redline. I'm not 100% sure what 3400 RPMs X NV5600 X 4. 10 gears X 315 tires equals, but I can tell you that it's plenty to put a '05ish 5. 3L Silverado in the rear view.

An extra bit of info: my redline is 3400 with or without the Edge box.
