Any one know where to get some speedie sleaves,

checked local Napa and they want $50 something for them. Napa Speedi-sleeve P/N: 99287

I am going to instal the disc conversion but would like to cover my bases and have a couple on hand when I tear the dana 70 apart.

I would like to do all my trucks but cant seem to want to spend the money, seems to go out faster than I make it.

Info would be much appriciated.

Thanks

Thierry

Well, you could take your axels to a machine shop and have them 'spray welded' and machined back to size and it will be stronger than stock. If, the axel bearing boss is what your talking about. I hope it is 'cause I've had my nose rubbed in you know what for making wrong responces.

Thanks but really dont want to take these completly apart and down to a shop, that is the reason to want speedie sleaves, on the vehicle fix.

Try Applied Industrial Technologies (formally King Bearing). The have branches in Chula Vista and San Marcos as well as a number in the L A area. Give them the NAPA number it a Chicago Rawhide number.

found them and it seems the number is no the right

part for my truck, we verified seals and found that they are smaller, will get back to you when I pull the dana 70 apart.

Seals 35 a piece.

Thanks

:) Hey bud, I just did this project so I hope these numbers will help. Speedi sleeve number CR 99287 at 24. 00 each with 2. 873-2. 879 diam. The seal number is CR 28746 If you would like to change the lock set up over to Spicer and toss the stupid little wedge, here is the numbers... ..... nut number Spicer 35270 at 12. 00 ea. takes 4 and lock tab washer Spicer 35269 at 1. 53 ea and takes 2 The new axle nut wrench by OTC number is 7158 and is 23. 14 and size is 2 1\2 inch . Just set preload to zero and you are all set. This is much easier and more important much more accurate. When you install the speedi sleeve, put some red locktite in the inside of the sleeve and tap into position with a piece of ABS plastic pipe the right size. Buddy, you will have to trim a small amount of the seal off when installed, put some duct or electrical tape over the surface and trim with a small dremel tool and small disc(cutting). If you need help with anythin, e-mail me. Tim
