Hi ,

Have taken my 04. 5 to the Aussie dealer and he cannot adjust the speedo for the new Mickey Thompson tires 315/70r17 , I have searched the board ,but i cannot find the exact instructions on how to do it ,you guys think your dealers are a little hard to get on with ,ship a truck 10000 miles and then ask a dealer who has never seen this model to plug it in to his computer and see the look on there face :--) . does any one have a definitive explanation on how to do the recalibration with the DRB 111 so i can give it to the dealer so he can do the speedo adjustment. Thanks in advance for your help

regards conn

I 've been running the bfg 315s for a few years now. The correction is almost exactly 10 percent. Do it in your head and keep 10%of the miles of your clock.

Had mine done at the Dodge dealership for the Cooper ATR 315/70/17's I put on.

I had to contact Cooper to find out the RPM's (revolutions per mile) for the tires which is 606 (I believe stock tires are 658. 2).

Dealer uses the DRB III scan tool... . goes into the ABS configuration... pinion factor... then to "other"... . enter the RPM number for your tires then "save".

It took about three minutes.

Funny how 3 dealers I've tried want to charge me an hour's labor ($75) for this simple item. It would pay off later for them if they help me out now, but I guess they don't realize this.

There isn't a way for the dealer to change the Speedo for our tire size in the '06 model. One of my friends did research it and the dealer confirmed it. The service clerk said there are about 20 options, but not one for 315\70\17's. They went ahead and adjusted mine to 285\70\17, so it's about 5% off now. Probably if I had it to do over again, I would have left it at the factory 265\70\17 setting.
