A moderator on Carson Dodge's forum states that speed corrections could only be made for up to 285s. Does that just apply to 6. 7 trucks? Mine's an 04. 5, and I had been assuming I could get the dealer to reprogram for an approximate 33 to 34 inch diameter tire when I finally wear out my factory Michelins (looks like they will make it to 65,000 unless the sun kills them first - or a burnout if I get really tired of them!) Is this the excuse I need to get a programmer?

Any size is possible. On the dealer's scan tool there's one screen for tire size which is limited to 285s (I think) but there's another screen that lets them put in the tire diameter.

The dealer's scan tool can correct the speed-o-meeter all you have to do is give them the number of revoloutions per mile. for 315-75-17 it is 610 if I rember correctly... It's called pinion off set???

There is a huge range of pinon factors that can be entered for the 3rd gens that are serviced by the drb3. They will get your speedo very close.

Not the same for the Starscan trucks,06+ a bit tougher

yup, just give your dealer the Rev Per Mile from your tire manufacturer. There is a menu with common sizes, and then "other" which brings up the ability to enter RPM. They did mine for 35" Toyo MT's
