i've installed a dually rear end in my truck and it has 4. 10 gears but my old axle had 3. 55 gears how do i get my speedo correct again and if its just the transfer case speedo gear does anybody know what part number i'll need-thanks any help would be great

















97 2500 switched to 3500 dually

00 ford lightning 450rwhp
 
Yes I believe it is just a gear you will need, a speedometer shop would be able to get the gear for you. But I don't think you will need one because the speed is being taken from you transfer case not your differential but you can ask the speedometer shop.

You will need to change the driven gear at the t-case to correct this. Sorry I don't know the part number or tooth count for the correct gear. Once you determine the tooth count needed you can get the gear from the dealer.
 
Your dealer should have the info you need. If not they should be able to find out from Dodge. Give them your tire size and the rear end gear. Good luck--BEN
