Speedo/ idiot light problems

Got a buddy that has a new 6. 7 CC truck. For no reason Friday, the ABS light, Ebrake light came on and the speedo and odomter are dead. No codes, no blown fuses... . any thoughts?

I haven't checked it out on my 06, but on my 05 there was a position between "run" and "accessory" that would let the truck run, but with the ABS, airbag, brake, and possibly other dash lights lit up. There were other things not working... I think the windows were dead. When I went to turn the truck off the key clicked all the way forward to "run" when I touched it and everything went back to normal. Happened to me once more with the truck, same fix.
