Have sort of a unique problem, maybe someone has an idea. My odometer stopped working about 6 months ago. My speedo still works, and seems correct, but I don't roll any miles. I took the entire dash apart (not that hard) and checked all conections visually.
You can actually take the dash apart all the way down to a singular piece that is the speedometer. Does anyone know if it can be rebuilt?? Not sure what build this piece is, but it looks like it could be worked on.

My odometer stopped at 211,000 and I want to fix it to be able to roll 300,000+ miles!!!! I told the wife I would not look at new trucks until 300,000 miles. Thanks for any help.

P. S. Also had trouble with Cruise Control and it died about 3 months before the speedo died (odometer).

I know on a Chevy the odometer itself can be replaced, don't know for sure on the Dodge, but I would assume you can just replace the odometer. Get one at the junk yard. You can roll it forward no problem to match where you think you are at in miles, but you cannot sell the truck legally with "known" miles.

The broken cruise is most likely unrealted to the odometer. Could be the servo itself. I think I read of a few guys having problems with them. Could be the switches too. Test the leads on the switches with a multimeter to make sure all the power it working correctly.

When mine failed, I checked into repairing mine but time was a big factor since I had to log all miles in each state I had run in. I elected to put a hubodometer on the rear wheel till I replaced the head as a new unit cost was 300. 00 And it was put at the miles that it was last registered at. The odometer went first then the speedometer went. Mike
