Speedo way off!!!

Have any of you expirenced any problems with speedometer accuracy? I have had several people who travel with me (luckily not officer friendly yet) tell me my speedo is way off (when I show 70 I'm doing 80). I do have aftermarket tires but they are only 31's and I have had the stealer adjust the computer to the largest tire size it will go to. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there any way I can get it set correctly? I would like to know how fast I'm going before the cops tell me!!!!

rickson wheel has a speedo calabrition module for sale. its pricy but works! it's made by superlift. it has two settings on it so you can switch between tires and have the correct speedo..... i switched to 255-85-16 tires(215's are stock) and i was off 8mph now im right on hope this helps... . james

Tell me more about this two inch leveling kit you haveI have been looking for front air bags to go with the rear ones and level my truck, maybe I should look at this kit you have?

go to www.jackit.com and look around. i think it didn't cost that much. easy to install as long as you have somr spring compressors. the kit consists of a spacer that goes between your spring upper spring cradel. good product... ..... james

I pulled up the Rickson info you gave me I was just wondering did you use the (epra)? or tru speed? We have the same year truck, Do you adjust it yourself or does it come preset? Hoss, if you feel like taking a cruise over the mountains there are very accurate digital speed readouts on both sides of the town of Chelan. Probably cheaper then buying something and gives you an excuse to go over to the dry side.

tru speed

it is the tru speed. very easy to install! it connects into your ABS controller. you adjust it yourself. it comes with a chart that states how many rotations of the set screw according to tire size. a monkey could install and set it up hope this helps! good luck..... james
