Me too. Except my odometer quits only when it rains, will start working a few days later. Don't think mine is the gear. Stray 'trons?

As for the speedo and odo gears you may try another type of Mopar cluster; like a Spirit, Acclaim, Caravan, etc with a needle type of speedo. Just may be the same gears, I'm not 100% sure but I know they have the motor driven set up in them also.

Hey guys on a sort of related topic. I have had the speedo quit working on me this past week, and I got under the truck tonight, and found what I think is the problem. I have a series of metal tubes and such coming out to a 90* and then back to a set(2) wires for my speedo, which I am not sure if it is fatory or what seeing as I have a NV4500 in my truck from the PO. Well after the 90* turn I have a the conduit looking pice split and the portion with the wires is free to pull out of the rest of the setup. The piece that is free has a brass looking pin that I think gets turned by the rest of the setup to give a signal to the speedo. I put it back together, but it still isn't working right but the speedo will bounce a bit here and there. Is this piece replaceable? Is it the same from a Getrag to a NV4500?If I can get the whole setup from the transmission out to the wires I would appreciate the part number, and maybe where the best place to get it is. Thanks in advance, and I will try to get some pictures of it if I am not describing it well enough.
