Ok Guys HELP!!!

I have installed a Quad 4x4 Nv4500 conversion and 4:11 gears in the rear. Now my speedo indicates slower than it should. I have tried a smaller gear in the speed sensor but that made the speedo run slower which does not make sense. The way I remember ratios is if I install a smaller gear the gear should run faster therefore turning the speedo faster. Am I right?

HELP

I had the same problem when I installed my NV4500HD. The first thing I did was to follow my dad when he drove at a set speed - in my case I used 40 mph. Then call Speedometer Service & Instrument Service in Portland Or at 503-227-5567 and tell them what the difference was at that speed and they will make an adapter to correct your speedometer. If I remember the adapter was less than $50. 00 and fits on the speed sensor. Good Luck!

If you get a hold of a good parts (good luck) man at Dodge, he can look up the gear # for the diff ratio. I did that with my sons truck and it brought it back to the correct reading :)

The problem I am having is the sensor gears do not go low enough in tooth count to correct my speedometer. I have tried that, even took it to a shop and they told me the same, don't have a gear that small. Thanks
