Speedometer Programer

Hi. I have been gone a while, but I have a Cummins Turbo Diesel again so I am back...with projects.

I bought a 2003 Stick with a 2" lift. It came on 37s that I hated, so I went to 35s. Much better.

Anyway, the speedometer was never set for the 37s, but now I want to set it for the 35s. I saw a hypertech programmer on Craigslist, owner said it was unlocked, got it home and guess what, it is VIN locked. My questions are:

-Any body know of a (legal) way to get the old VIN removed?
-If not, can i pay Hypertech to wipe the unit to new for me?
-If not, any inexpensive programmer out there I can buy? I don't want power, just my dash to read correctly.

Try to get an unlocked used/new Smarty JR, that can do it just fine.
