I have put 285's on a couple of trucks and not found the difference to be worth doing anything about. If you really want to change the speedo you need to buy a new ratio adapter. Your truck may or may not already have one. It goes between the transmission or transfer case and the VSS. There are a bunch of speedo shops that will customize a ratio adapter for you. Some are online. I ordered one online that was close enough to what I wanted when my stock ratio adapter died. I think I needed a 1. 3:1 or so.
I agree with Moab4x4- going to 285s shouldnt affect your speedo much- 2-3%. Keep in mind that a 265/75-16 is REAL close in height to the stock 235/85-16. So for all intents and purposes, you are going up one size, height-wise.
