I saw a post a couple years back where someone had a part number for a speedy sleeve for the rear axle on a single wheel W350. I think it is the same as the 250. Can anyone think of another reason that my brakes are always wet? The surface was scored a little but I ran some emory paper over it and smoothed it up but I noticed my brakes started grabbing and then the brake drum was oily. Any experience here will be welcomed.

Don't have the part number, but any parts store should be able to get the sleeve for you. I've used them on Dana 70 before.

I just did mine about six months ago. Speedy-Sleeve P/N 99287. You will have to cut a hole in the stallation tool to fit over the long axle tube. Also you will have to grind down the width of the speedy sleeve since they only come in one size of width after installtion. I didn't need to remove the flange of the speedysleeve. Use good seals by CR seals by Chicago Rawhide P/N 417158 also if needed P/N 0438186 Axle Gasket from the dodge dealer. you will need 2 9/16 Dana nut Removal tool. Oreilly, Napa. about $35 bucks. hope this helps. I have been told that dodge used three different types of axles on the first gens. So use my data as a reference and let me know how it goes!

Thanks for the info, my parts store had to order the sleeve and I will be getting at the job this weekend. I hope it gets a little warmer, even with the woodstove the floor froze the coffee I spilled, I will have to turn the truck around so the side I'm working on will be next to the stove. If I keep a fire till Saturday things will finally thaw out. I'll let you know how things turn out Thanks again
