What happened to Scot Dalgleish(sp)

I just finished trying to post and thought I'd run the spell checker - I hit the Finished button at the bottom and it deleted all of the text from my post - it closed the spell window but it was like I had just clicked the - Post new topic button all over again. Is this a known bug?

thanks,

For me, it checks the spelling and corrects it, but when I post, the spelling errors are back:rolleyes: . I guess I need the brain check instead of spell check!

when they first added spell check, it worked great for me, now if I press it after typing, a little box comes up, and NOTHING is in it, it's just blank. No matter how long I let it sit there(load) it is blank.

The spell checker has never worked for me, either nothing shows up or it deletes the entire post. I don't even try it anymore, just type my message on a new email page, use it's spell checker then cut and paste it.

It has never worked for me. I just figured it was another thing that took advantage of something in IE so us NS users were out of luck. Now I see it doesn't work for IE users either. If I type a word I'm not sure of I just try it in my word processor or e-mail. Of course, some of the stuff I type I'm sure it's spelled right when its not even close. Oh well. :(

There are some known bugs in the spell check software. I've let the author of it know about them as have others but have not gotten a response back. At this point it's the only option we have for a spell check. The problem with losing all the text usually happens on longer messages (unforetunately) - what you can do is do a copy and paste and put your text into a notepad just in case. If you lose the text you most often can click on back and get it back as well. I'll email the author of it again to see if I can get a response.

scho - you and I know numbers better than words...

Steve - I just wanted to point it out cause it did work great for me several times - and believe me, I need it. Thanks for your continued work on this and the site in general.
