engine, trans, x/case for sale

'85 Suburban conversion was a 12V, then a 24V, now for sale...

years ago a good friend of mine, dad had an in line 6 banger gas engine. he had installed what he called a split 6 exhaust manifold.

it really sounded good. does any one know if something like this is available for the cummins ?

thanx. i did see the 3 piece by ats . but what the two piece did was let you run duales back from the manifold. would this require two turbos?

I've heard the 6 cyl split manifolds but with the wrong mufflers, they sounded like *****. Ours are already split but all the exh. gets combined in one turbo. I think even with 2 turbos(1 front and 1 rear)you wouldn't hear each cylinder like the split 6 gassers. I think the turbos would still blend the sound together, much like they do now. Craig

One of the NW BOMBer members made up a true split manifold for his '92. He bolted up a pair of turbos off of a couple K-cars (yes, K-cars!) and it ran great for a couple miles 'til one blew up. Looks promising though. He already tried two HX35/9s in parallel but it was too dead, terrible spoolup.
