Competition 0-60?

Competition Construction of a Diesel Dragster

I know it must be very expensive to compete in these sled pulling events. Is it possible to donate money or machine work to help out without funding the entire project? If so how do you go about locating someone who might be looking for a little help. I'm not looking for advertising. I would just like to help.

I think the first thing would be to locate someone who knows how to make power, but just dosn't have the CASH or tooling to hold all the parts together. This would ensure you actualy have an "entire project".

I still wanna help you with your truck Ron, but I need to clone myself just get everything done in one day that I need to. :)

Too bad we have Oregon state between us. Have I got some ideas for you!

Jake.

I'm about done with mine. Just got through putting a 24 valve intercooler in my 92. Dodge had no intention of that being done. But it turned out nice and have room to spare for a PDR one when they are available. All I have left to do is install the studs and put the twins on when they arrive and then take the whole thing down to Collins Diesel and check timing and Governer setting and I will be done for a while.

Chris,

I will talk to you later.

Ron ... a good start would be to attend a few events and talk to the players. . go early as after weigh in there is a ton of time to waste/BS and a good time for friendships to renew. loads O guys are there to yakk it up with

Yeah, come to Muncie, and I'll talk your ear off. :-laf j/k

Out of curiosity, how does the other side of the sponsorship work?

Gary.

I haven't ever seen a sled pull except with tractors back in 1965. I don't know if they have anything local. Back in Missouri they are common. I'll have to see if there is anything within driving distance. I'd like to find a local person that was in street class. I don't want to advertise on the truck or anything. My machining business has nothing to do with diesel stuff. All that kind of work is done back east and done very well.

well talk with Bill George your neighbor [kick'inY2k]. . he attends many of them and can give ya time dates

or go over to Diesel -Central.com look thru forums and there is one for diesel pullers that show up and coming pulls

I have had a number of emails and pms about this. I'm sorry I wasn't more specific.

I am located in Browns Valley California between Grass Valley and Marysville. I am about 6 miles from Browns Valley RV. I would like to find a local puller(nor cal) . I have a small machine shop on my property. I can offer free machine shop and fab help. Use of my shop stuff(mig, tig, saws, blast cabinet, air comp, etc). I am not an automotive or diesel shop. I do mostly CNC machining. I am not a rich guy. But sometimes machine shop and welding services can be usefull. I may be able to give entree fee and parts help to a certain extent. I know it's not alot but I am offering it. And lastly No I don't want my name on your truck. That's it in a nutshell.

WOW, that's almost reason enough for me to move to Kommiefornia!

Ron, you ROCK, and whoever takes you up on your more than generous offer is one Lucky SOB in my book!
