when I first got my '04, it had just the TST, EZ, and Flux 1's
I run the TST on the twins 03 program, no torque. on level 9 it would smoke like CRAZY once boost hit 15psi (due to the twins program obviously) but it would take off like MAD.
I'm now running the Smarty TNT/Revo with moderate TM, wild RP, timing for stock injectors... EZ is disconnected. Smarty on SW#9...
I have to be very careful how I set the TST to prevent draining the rail. I didn't have a rail gauge on the truck before I put the Smarty on it.
I've played with the TST, and the highest setting I can run is 4 (no torque). If I lay into it below about 2000 in 5th or 2400ish in 6th I lose rail pressure.
I'd like to run around on a lower TST setting, but it pulls SO GOOD on the big end with the TST on 4, I can't bring myself to do it! the difference between 3 and 4 on the TST is very noticable.
I realize the only way to find out is to just do it, but I'm thinking about running the Smarty on a lower SW and adjusting the TST. Hoping to hit the twins with a bigger dump of fuel down low to get them spooled quicker.
My fear is that I'll lose some top end power due to losing rail pressure dumping all that fuel early.
I know another CP3 is pretty much the only way to have my cake and eat it too. Just wanting to hear some thoughts/meditations/brainstorming on the subject... I'm pretty green with this CR stuff, so if there's something I'm missing, I'd love to hear it.
Don's valvesprings should be going in next week, and I'll up the rev limit on the Smarty... give me some more time in the movin/shakin part of the powerband
