2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Sport Bumper?

Does anyone know of a sorce besides the dealer to get a sport bumper for a 95. I was converting mine to a sport but having a little trouble finding a bumper. I have a grille, but what else do I need.

Pardon my ignorance. Is there any difference (besides being painted) in the 95 bumper? If not, and yours is good why not take it ti a chrome shop and have it stripped, then paint it?

I do know from experience that when you buy a rear bumper for a 01 it comes painted body color already. It was cheaper to buy the bumper from the dealer than straighten and paint mine.

The early trucks (like my 96) and his 95 have a chrome piece, black top piece of plastic, a gray plastic portion of the bumper and then (if an SLT) a lower black lip and inserts to the radiator opening.



The Sport bumper is molded one piece (I believe) and has a recess in the top for the slightly different (taller) grill. The Sport also came with clear headlights and turn signals.



Painting the stock bumper and been done, but will usually start to peel from the palstic pieces as they flex in the cold and heat.



I have thought about doing the Sport upgrade at some point to "make me feel" like I bought a new truck rather than spending 30K plus. Just have to wait for the right opportunity.

I did not know all of the differences in the earlier Sports. I have a 01. 5 Sport with the plastic bumper. It is a little soft fo me.

THe sport bumper for '94 to '98 is just a painted version of the normal bumper. THe '99 to '02 sports are the ones with the one piece plastic bumper covers. I'd just paint the chrome portion and call it a day.
