Sport conversion

Hi,



i want to change my old style sport grille to the newer design (99-01), like the bad boy look much more.



Should i take an original or could it be also an aftermarket grill (is quality and finish comparable saw some aftermarket grills mucho cheaper)?



Do you know somebody who ships the grill to europe, most companies are only shipping inside the US.

Is the grill actually any different? I know the bumper is and that is what makes it look so much better.

Yep the old sport one has exactly the same shape as the chrome grill, like the new bumper too, but combination of both worlds will make it

The grill and bumper are both different on the 99 and newer gen2 sport rams dad had a 94 slt laramie (bumper is flat on top as well as the grill) I had a 99 1500 sport ram(bumper is dipped in and grill dips down to fit) which was recently replaced with a 2003 2500 Dad now has a 2002 2500 same color and style as my 99 they could pass for twins minus the cummins badging. hope this helps.

To install a newer grille on an older truck with the older bumper, the top of the bumper will need to be cut. You will also need a new grille frame and a new hood latch rod.

Has anyone put a 99 or up sport bumper on a pre 99.

For a proper install you will need the following: Front Facia , Steel reinforcement behind facia , Steel-to-Frame mounting horns , Side suppoert brackets , Side plastic fenderwell connection flanks , Grill , grill Frame, And sport hood latch. (I used my OEM SLT latch and modified it to work. The Facia DOES NOT COME PAINTED >>> ONLY THE GRILL COMES PRE PAINTED!

Let me try this again



I am in the process of putting a newer Sport bumper on my 1996. I am having an issue with the mouting brackets that I need to get sorted out. The bolts holes do not line up and the new bumper brackets are longer not allowing the bumper to sit as far back as it needs to.



The bumper is sitting there waiting to go on, I just need to get this bracket issue resolved.
