Sport Grill

Just wanted to ask about that SWEET grill! Did you buy parts at the dealer and modify the stock grill or is that a new replacement?

Stock Sport Grill Insert and Chrome Bug Shield (seperate). All you need is the insert (for the billet grill look); $90-110 from the dealer depending on the local markup. They'll try to tell you you have to replace the whole grill assembly for $450-1200. The sport grill insert is part #82207849; I'm not the first to do it; I think several on line here have swapped them out (it's even in the FAQ). I think it looks great with the Laramie.

I bought Mopar billet grill for my truck off of ebay for $100 shipping included. Dozen or so bolts/nuts and the outer grill ring comes off. Take a small punch to the plastic center on the mouting tabs and replace the grill. Takes about 20 minutes. Looks good

Most dealers will sell the above part number for $83. Mine did.

Like the look of the grill replacement but how does it look on the rear?? Does the grill give better airflo or just better looks?? Does it hold all the "stuff" in the bed or because it;'s flexabile does it increase carrying cap?

On another note,

How bad is the reflection from the cab lites, on the hood, at nite? They were bad on the older ones, so much so that it did impair nite vision (distance). Do the new style lites keep it off the hood better?
