Has anyone converted their dual lamp headlights to the sport quad lamp system?I read it can be done for about $350 and was wondering what the results were and where to get the parts.

See TDR Summer 1999 Issue #25, Pg. 50 - and do a search, there have been a couple of pretty good threads on that subject w/in the last month or so.

I am looking for a source for the headlamp connectors that are used on quad headlamps in the Sport package. No doubt the dealer would sell me a complete wiring harness for $1000, but all I want are the connectors for the inner headlamp. I got the lens/reflectors from the dealer for about $240/pair.
I might try Brite Box tomorrow to see if they can help.
I do not want to buy a complete Brite Box because it is unnecessary IMHO with the Sport lamps.

If you're just looking for the connector and pigtail,I'm sure you can find it at any NAPA parts store. I believe the outer bulbs are 9006's while the inners would be 9005's.

MikeR is correct, NAPA had the connectors for the extra bulbs that reside in the outer socket of the quad lamp. These are 9007's. The inner pair are the stock 9004's. Today I removed the headlamp assembly from the passenger side of my 97, and discovered that I need four plastic locking rings for the new quad lamps to retain the bulbs. Too late to go to the dealer, naturally. Also I need a relay to drive the extra bulbs. Or maybe I will feed all four bulbs with relays for a little extra brightness.
Tomorrow hopefully I can report success.

The quad lamps are in and working, and I am impressed. The new reflectors put light where you want it. I now have 120W of high beam in each headlamp, like all Sport owners. The low beams are 55W, up from the stock 45W. I installed regular 9004 and 9007 bulbs. I used 16GA wire same as stock, with a NAPA relay to drive the extra high beams.
It cost me about $260 in Dodge parts.
A Sawzall with 24tpi hacksaw blade is the best way to cut the body, and the headlamp carrier on a 97. I believe 98 and up have quad-ready headlamp carriers.
99 and up have quad-ready sheetmetal, so no Sawzall needed.

Some additional info not included in TDR's "Second time Around" in issue 26:
You will need to buy two new bulb retainers, Mopar # 55077046 @ $6. 00 each.
Also two new vents # 04805147 @ $2. 00 each.
On 97 trucks you also have to cut the headlamp carriers to make room for the new reflector asssembly. I wll be doing a 98 truck soon if anyone is interested.
