2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Sport headlights revisited

Maybe I'm stating the obvious: the sportlight units I've found require changing the corner lamps too because the new baskets won't mate up with the old style corner lamps. Just trim the inside (engine-side) plastic bridge on your OLD baskets and they will accept the new, 2 bulb headlamps AND of course, attach your old corner lamps as well!!

Just wondering, but why wouldn't you want to install the new corner lamps with your Sport headlights that look much better and are attached to them anyway??
