:roll eyes: Boys, my black sport dually reg cab, arrived last week, I don't think I'm gonna take it. You know the old trade off..... 8 ft box vs extended cab??Right now I have a 6 speed 01 quad, and I can't leave the convince of the quad.

So I'm looking for the for the right quad cab, cummins, 6 sp 4x4.

I prefer the strait Laramie VS the sport version of the same truck. You get the body side moulding and the chrome bumpers and chrome/painted front grill. On the right package it looks better than the old painted everything. I seen a white Laramie that looked Excellent, In my opinion better looking than the Sport package.

In my area I seem to be seeing a whole bunch of sports, but very few strait Laramie packages.

Oh YEAH, maybe I'm weird, but I also prefer the cheaper chrome wheel covers better than those cast aluminum jobs, They are plain ugly!!!!!!:{

MY Laramie Sport Dually looks great in BLACK. So there!!!!!:D

Casey and Reb,

I guess I'll have to bow out, wouldn't want to start a border war. seriously, it's all boils down to one's personal taste. I remember when I was a kid and the cars used to rust under the chrome and some of the '58's that looked like a Christmas tree:rolleyes: . I know it's not chrome any more and the salt can't really get under there any more but, I sort of like the plain look of the Sport because I like to have my vehicles striped and the plain ones are easier to do. The guy that did mine realy liked this truck to work with. I also like the billeted grille and the "hood protector".

Dean,

I almost ordered the Bright Silver instead of red. Now, everytime I see your sig. I wish I had. That silver sport is really sharp.

Hey Fireman,

I think the red looks great as well. When I ordered my truck, I wanted to go to a lighter color, my 98. 5 was black and my 94 was black with driftwood, it seemed that I spent more time washing the truck than driving it. I saw a graphite Sport 3500 shorty and I really liked the color, tried to order it and it got kicked out. When I ordered the truck I could only get black, white, red or silver in the model I wanted. I always liked silver and it really looks good on the dually quad. I have been driving in sand and salt for the last couple of days and the truck still looks pretty good (I will wash it this weekend when the temp is supposed to get above freezing). Tried to post some pictures of the truck after I had the pin stripes put on but I can't seem to get the combination.

Hello. (first post short bio)

I just ordered my '03 HO Ram, can't wait. I've been a turbo nut for 10 years or so. All my vehicles have a turbo. I drag race my AWD Talon and to explain my name, it's an Eagle Talon TSi with personal plates of "2BAAD4U". Best of 12. 1 at 117mph and still 27mpg. I'm a huge Mopar fan and a Cummins fan, there was no doubt what truck I was going to eventually get.

I tried to order mine in Patriot blue with the Sport package, no can do. Also, even though I got a Laramie I opted for the chrome rims as well. I guess I'll have to do the DIY sport grill, paint it.

I'm excited to be here and can't wait to learn everything there is to know about these trucks.

Welcome tsi_2baad4u,

I'm pretty sure you can order the sport grille from the parts dept. I think the part number was in another thread.

Laramie Sport

When I put in my order for my 2500 Laramie, my wife and I went out and looked at the 1500's they had sitting there. I had wanted the Sport package all along for the monotone bumpers - but there was something about the chrome that just looked really sharp. It's all personal preference - and I agree that the Laramie cast aluminum wheels are ugly!
