Sportlights & Sawzalls?

What's this about having to trim with a Sawzall? I just put my Sportlights in (I only have low beams connected from my original 9004s) and they went in pretty simply. They arent perfect... I had to push and pull a bit to get the bolts started. Can someone explain what exactly needs to be cut/trimmed?

In the pre 98. 5 trucks the sheet metal on the inner fender (??) needs to be trimmed a bit. I got into an accident that ruined both fenders, so I had them put the newer ones in along with the sport lights. I know they would not have fit in my old fenders; the hole in the back was way to small.

The light housing will fit w/o trimming, but you will need to trim to get both bulbs in the housing.
