The only thing I noticed was the rims around the taillights on the sports are painted the same color as the truck unlike the black on the reg. ram.

sport lights

actually it's kinda  . i added aux backup lights. those sorry excuses for backup lights were essentially useless. i have the sliding window with the deep tint. couldn't see squat at nite backing up. added small 55 watt halogen backup lights. clear lenses... ... . hmmmm, let's see: amber3157 bulbs and some more rewiring, and presto... ... . amber rear turn signals, and useful backup lights. i like it a lot. :D

But are amber turn signals legal on the rear?

YES!! look at the toyotas, and the maxipads... ... not that i WANT the hd ram to look like a maxipad... ... :D

Yes Amber turn signals are very

I didn't think it looked cool, when you have your turn signal on and braking, to have one steady rear light and the other blinking.

Now my rear lights no longer blink, the backup-turned-signal lamps take care of that. Evan A. Beck was the first to come up with this trick and wired my for me. You also have to make sure the trailer wiring will work correctly which he did.

The black plastic around the lights are textured on the standard housings. It is smooth around the sport lights. Also the replacement sport lights come painted to match when ordered. So does the replacement sport bumper also comes already painted to match. I found out the hard way.

turn signals

i was very tired, too when chuck and i had the "chat room" open last night. vaughn, i didn't remember where i had read about the conversion. i left the wire on at the "multi function switch". the amber lights also light with the brakes, as a result. i just didn't want to change that, because of the trailer wiring for brakes and turn signal... ... if someone doesn't want the ambers to come on with brakelights, can disconnect the wire (white/tan?) at the steering column, then add one of the modules that convert "3 to 2" at the trailer wire harness... ... i really like the "clear lenses "being amber turn signals. i'll probably change to LED bulbs when i have time. :)
