2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Spots on Heated Mirrors

Anyone had any problems with using stick on spot mirrors on the factory heated mirrors? I eventually want to do a '03 towing mirror conversion but just need some spots for now and I want to still be able to use the heated feature.

Have a small 2" one in the lower left on drivers side for over 3 years now no problems.

My factory ones had spots on em from day one. Still on there when I sold them a few weeks ago. Never a problem. THey didn't defrost with the rest of the mirror, so maybe that was a problem, but an expected one
