I was visiting family in Utah over the weekend and went to the Local dodge truck dealer. THey had about 40 Diesels I would say. My dad was looking for a new one. Just for fun, I looked under a few of the 6 speeds to have a look at the Tail shaft imputs to the G-56. SUre enough, 3 of them had the same weepage as my New 06 has!! Now the real funny thing is, after 1,000 miles of driving this weekend mine has sealed up and is dry as a bone. Dealer is supposed to replace the seal middle of this week because it was leaking when I took it in to them. My dealer says this is pretty common...

Just FYI

leak

can you find out what the seal is made of? If the seal is made of a hard plastic like teflon, it has to run in. most mechanics install seals with oil on the shaft or on the seal which is ok with the rubber style, but death to the plastic style. the plastic style has to run in dry.
