Spray in bedliner

Can anyone tell me what an average cost of spray in bed liner will cost,I need to have this done before I get 5th wheel hitch installed thanks DOC NIELSEN

Line-X will run about $425 over the rails. I've got two trucks with it in the bed and over the rails. Worth every penny. Been in the small truck for 5 years now with no fade. Very durable.

Some areas of the country appear to be over-charging. I've heard rumors of $600-800 in California and Michigan. Perhaps they are charging what the market will actually bear, and in keeping with the high overhead costs of anything in California... I wouldn't know.

Most areas in the eastern & southern U. S. are around $400-450, all brands.

I paid $360 for LineX under the rails. That was a special show price I think the go for $400 under the rail and $480 over the rail.



It is by far the best single Mod I've ever put on my truck. Almost 5 years now and it still looks great. ( If I wash it )

$425 Rhino over the rails.

For a SB. I think the long bed was $475 or maybe $500. That was in WA and a few years ago. They're both (Rhino, Line-X) good, just have different qualities.

I just paid 450. 00 for the perma-tech, black, over the rail. Woould like to get the lower quarter done in gray, but, they want 600. 00, seems a little pricey to me.

I had mine done about two months ago and I paid $365, under the rail. The retail price was $425 at this particular shop. Be sure to ask for a discount and haggle. You would be surprised how much room there is for the shop to come down on the price.



Also, I shopped around locally and found that there is a big difference in price (up to $100) for the same service at different shops. I hope this helps.

Got the longbed done......

Over the tail gate and only the side of the rails for $280 at sprayliner. 2 texture options available. I got the rough one and I like it way better. Nothing slides around the back like the rhino once it aged and got slick.



And that's in Kalifornia!!

Those spray on's are OK but if you ever want to dump large rocks in your box they will dent. I have the regular corrugated liner which enables me to dump large rocks (boulders), I have a landscape business. The only problem with this type of liner is slip, so I put a sheet of ply wood down to eliminate that.

About 4 years ago, (right before I actually bought the truck), a new "sprayon dealer" in town quoted me 450 bux. . don't think that's too bad priced. Of course, if he wants to do it now and take out my hitch rails. . and reinstall for the same price. . it would still be worth it, IMHO. .

Spray On Liner

I bought a Rhino Liner for my long bed. Cost: $550 under rails (I think I got ripped). I've had it over a year and it has faded badly. It's not very thick. It's somewhat slippery when wet. I wouldn't drop anything heavy in the box as I'm sure it would dent. It chips easily (I guess it's covered by Rhino though).



Bottom line: I should have stuck with a plastic bedliner... Period. They absorb shock, aren't any more slippery, they're cheaper, and I don't plan on keeping this truck until the bed rusts out.

By the way, my last truck had a drop in. The last I will EVER own. I will ALWAYS get a spray in from now on.

I had a Linex over the rail job done on mine for $375 in Denver. Great product and great installer. I used the truck for moving our furniture last week and dragged all kinds of stuff over the bed. No scratches or chips. Big thumbs up.

I've got the Rhino Liner in my truck... I would never do a plastic liner because I can't stand the slipperyness. It's really just a matter of opinion and use as to which liner is better than the next. My last truck had a Linex, and it was good, but I like my Rhino MUCH better. It's a much thicker, tackier, durable liner, IMO. But they were both sprayed at different places, so installation may have something to do with the different levels of quality.



The REAL bottom line is to make sure that it is sprayed in by someone who knows WTF they're doing! It would be worth a couple extra dollars to me to have a good liner rather than save a few for a liner that doesn't do its job. Ask around with people you know who have bed liners that you like, and see where they went. Just my $. 02.



To answer the original question, I paid about $450 for the Rhino under the rail.

Got Alpha Liner (Armatuff) in my truck. Love it! I think it's better than Rhino because it's got a smoother, shinier look to it. It cost me around $400. Check out the web site.

We Rhino'd a Snow-Cat, $1200 bucks worth. Inside, all surfaces, trackwells ( above the tracks ) and the back deck.



We put anything on it and in it. Never a problem. Very easy to repair, no more loose bolts. And the sound deadening is fantastic. You don't go deaf after an hour in the cat. Melts clean everytime. ( for a snow-cat )



I'm thinking of Rhinoing a truck with a fiberglass shell the same way, anyone tried this? Would be nice to leave the slider open and enjoy the peace and quiet.

I decided to go with the Arma brand spray-in liner schedule for next Weds. The Line-X shop has been shut down for building modification this summer. It appears to me that the two systems are identical chemical wise. This Arma shop has been in business about five years and the owner gave me an excellent tour of the shop and equipment and covered the operation in the paint booth as another Dodge was being masked. He had all of the right equipment and answered my questions fully without any hesitation, thanks to Todd for his fine summary of the equipment and process. The owner's wife is also fully trained so she can answer any questions. The shop appeared to be a very qualified operation with good references. The liner will be sprayed over the rails and over the tail gate with the lines meeting at the corners. It is costing $495. 00 with a $35. 00 pair of Bulldog tie downs added for an incentive. The Line-X price was quoted at $450. 00 a couple of months ago.

I own a white '01 Ram Sport model and I realize you asked about the cost of a spray in bedliner but I wanted to put in my 2 cents worth. There is an indentation line that goes all the way around my truck,including the bumpers. From that line down,I had black Line-X applied to keep the rocks from chipping the rocker panels. I have had quite a few compliments. The cost was $450. 00. 'Nuff Said Oo.
