PLEASE TELL ME ABOUT YOUR SPRAYED IN BED LINER. WHAT NAME BRAND IS THE BEST. I HAVE A 97 TRUCK WITH A DROP IN BED LINER. DO NOT LIKE IT . WANT A SPRAY IN . RA THARPE MORTH FL. BOY!!!!!!!

Get the prices and then run down to a KMart. They carry a paint on bed liner that was talked up in a past TDR. I installed it, and while its only 2 weeks old, and has seen no abuse, so far I am very pleased, at 1/5 the cost of a spray on liner. You need 5 gt for an 8' bed, about $120. 00. Ask around here, I'm sure others have used it.

Rhino Liner here, for about a year. Very pleased. Stuff is tuff. No sliding around. Guaranteed. Sorry about the rhymes. Check out Linex too.

I've had a Rhino liner in my '94 GMC (sprayed on in 94) and beat the h. . l out of it and it's still in great shape! It did fade quite a bit and most of the time (95%) it was under a shell with tinted windows that you can't even see through so it didn't receive very much sunlight. I had a Permatech liner sprayed into my '98 Ram a month ago and according to the shop that did the job they have solved the fade problem (I hope!) They told me that if I didn't go with their lining that the Rhino lining was an extremely durable product with the exception of the fade problem. As this was exactly what I had experienced (didn't tell them that I had previously had a Rhino liner) I was impressed with their info. I'm very happy with it so far but haven't put it through it's paces yet. The other factor for me is the closest Rhino liner delear is 2 hours away and the Permatech dealer was right in town.

I have the rhino lining-ditto on the fading. Other than that I am very happy with it. But they are not the only dogs on the porch- linex and there are others. All of them are much better than a slide in or letting the bed get trashed. Maybe even the wally mart goop in the buckets.

My Rhino liner's going on 4 yrs and looks brand new. I've had a lid on the bed since I bought the truck so I can't comment on the fading. A Rhino liner comes in at about 1/4" to 5/8" thick, I cant see a paint on liner even being comparable. Spend the extra 3 bills and get the piece of mind that comes with a garentee.

Hey guys,

I got a Line-X in my 98. 5 2500. Great product, has a lifetime warranty. I got nearly 40K on the liner (and truck) now, and it still looks like new. I have had a lot of different loads in it, some heavy, some light. I have had 2,800 lbs of stone in there, 2,000 lbs of firewood, furniture, etc... I have beat the crap out of it, and it takes every punch I give it. I HIGHLY recomment the product. Only cost me $360.

Mine has faded as well. I recommend a product called "Back To Black" to bring the liner to like new looks. Also use "NO Touch" which is a tire care product of course, and I have also just sprayed armorall on it. I also use these products on the inside of the fenderwells for that just off the lot look.

My Rhino has held up well, the stuff I hall is like a load of razorblades (sheetmetal). Stuff doesn't slide around like on the f150 with the under rail drop in liner.

While I don't question the comments about the quality of a bed liner in a can, think about it. It is sprayed from a can. You do all the prep work. The paint on stuff is loaded with rubber bits. This is not "paint". Its very toxic stuff, mfg'd in South Africa. The product is carried under the "Herculiner"brand name, and lists "Peak", the anti-freeze folks, as their parent. Not trying to sell, just open minds...

Line-X here too. I have slammed some heavy stuff on that bed and dragged some nasty strength equipment across it... . I have only one small divet in it... that was from a 440lb 18x20 Power Stair weight being dragged on its edge... ooops.

I wonder if there is a touch up kit for these and if I can get the orignal new look back? It still looks good but not the same as new. I really don't want to keep spraying Armor-All or the like on it... that makes it a bit slick.

I have the Rhino... . love it. I've hauled our 10ft camper around, and many other loads. I have several friends with Linex. They love it. Go to a car show or outdoor show and you will find 35-50 dollars off coupons being given away for both brands. Enjoy!

These spray on bed liners, do they do away with the slippery surface that the boughten bedliner have, the ones that when wet will put you out of the bed and onto the ground and when not wet, you can't keep anything you are hauling in one place.

The future is looking brighter for a new Dodge and I don't want another bedliner, much rather have a spray on type.

I can really relate to the SLIPPING on those slide in bedliners... even in just cold weather they are very hazardous... I wiped out off the back of my 97'Ram when a gust of wind hit me... damn that hurt... the spray in had elminated the baby step shuffle I had to do with that old slide in. LOTS OF GRIP

The spray in liners are great at keeping things from sliding around in the bed. Some of us have that lead foot disease. When they spray the material in they create a bumpy texture to hold stuff you set in there. They can give you a very bumpy surface or less, as you desire. The material they use feels like rubber in that it seems soft. This must help as well.

This week on Motor Week on PBS they talked about bed linners. They said there are two do-it-yourself product they liked. One for $110 and another for $50. Anyone used either of these?

Another option to cure the slip and fall. I too landed on my back after slipping on my snow covered BARE bed. I went to Pep Boys and purchased a bed mat, $49. 00. It works great, rolls up for cleaning the bed, has little nubs on the underside to allow any water to dry, and TRACTION is great. Mine has been in for 3 years, no complaints. If you don't need full box protection this is a good safety addition. Happy Rammin, Dave Hauser

I bought a small can of Herculiner from Kmart and experimented with it by coating the inside of a small toolbox. It is VERY slip resistant, but I didn't think it came out looking very good. I figured if I coated my bed and it came out looking awful, it would be very difficult to remove it. If you're looking for something to be purely functional, like on a work truck, this would be the way to go. But I looked at it and thought, "Nah. I wouldn't be satisfied with how it would look on my truck bed. " Of course, I'm certainly no expert on applying the stuff! I suppose if I spent some time messing around with it, I could do a better job. I bet it could also be used as a non-skid coating on non-automotive applications, like stairs, etc.
