I'm sold on the road to saving a dollar... I convinced my local paint and body shop to "throw in" the spray job for my bedliner with my up and coming paint job... I already bought the Duplo... got it on sale for $39 at Wal-Mart... being sprayed according to a pro is the way to go... a gallon will cover the 8' bed and tailgate... all you have to do is ENSURE YOU PREP THE BED... just sand it down... rough up the surface and make sure there is no wax or contaminates on it. I throw all kinds of stuff in my bed... can't imagine plastic in the bed!

jsimpson & yuppie redneck, if you plan to haul much of anything in the bed, I would advise against the Duplicolor coating. My brother used it in the back end of his '70 Blazer. It is very thin and not very durable. He mostly wanted the coating for rust protection and minor sound dampening, plus he needed something to cover the interior after ripping out the previous owner's shag carpet. If this is the type of use you have in mind, then go for the duplicolor, however if you intend to haul stuff and stay on a budget, I'd say go with a drop in plastic liner.

Rhino Lining for me... been in there since April, beat it up with firewood and looks no different than the day it was spayed. They did a great job of matching the color of the truck too.

Rhino Liner! Got mine done last Saturday and my local dealer did a GREAT job! There are two in the area but only one has a 5 year NO CUSTOMER COMPLAINT record. #ad
He also honored a dealer price since the service advisor at the dealer gave me his card and told me they are the best in town.

I have a white 99 Quad cab SB, any reccomendations on color scheme ? (I heard the the white fades to yellow over the years), Thanks in advance

Regarding color: The firm that installed my Line-X talked me out of going with a grey colored bed and into black (I have a white truck and figured grey would hid dirt better). They said that all colored spray-in liners will take on a color with exposure to UV from sunlight. Might just be Line-X, but they said its true for all brands. The guy I talked to showed me his Ford 250 that had a purple bed to match his truck. Had a slight greenish tent to it. Said it took about a year for it to change color. Still looked OK, just a little weird. Probabily not be a problem if under a shell (cap, topper, whatever you call it) as it would be sheltered from UV rays. Black is the most stable pigment and will stay black.

Something to think about.

Just got my Line-X sprayed into my '99 last saturday. Over the rail, looks great and hides all those nasty scratches and dents I had collected over the year.

i have ameriguard it looks good, wasnt to expensive, seems to be wearing well no slip, and im happy with it. 01 q/c 24v 4x camper spec. loaded.

It has been about a year now,I like the Rhino very much. It still looks very good. I must say the Rhino has done a great job for me. The Installer did a good job I think that is the main part of the job. If you go with the Rhino I think you will like it!
