I have a 91 single rear wheel W350 and it came from the dealer with short blocks over the axle where the spring sits. The truck looks feeble with the bed sagging much lower than the front end. I noticed that a 92 and 93 trucks have a 4 or more inch block as a spacer to raise the rear. Does anyone have a pair of these or know where I can get some for my truck. All the kids in town say it looks "Weak". Thanks.

I believe that starting with the 91. 5 thru 93, the blocks were 6 inches off the axle. 89-91. 5 , I believe were 3 inches. I am currently restoring a 90, and will also be looking to find out where I can come up with a set of 6 inch blocks.

Blocks

Get yourself some 1/2" flat bar 2 1/2"x 6" figure how much you want to go up. Go to your local spring shop get some new U bolts made to length You need buy longer center bolts and your set you'll have to drill your new spacers for the center bolt Thats what we do my cousin been doing this for 20 years. Just check the U bolts for tightness every oil change. Thanks Steve B.

wow I think I would be scared to drive on 6" blocks. I would either find a lift spring that equates to the same without the block or talk to your local spring shop. maybe an add a leaf.

One of my first pickups was the 1990, with the 3 inch blocks. I tried adding 2 leaf springs and with the overloads, I had 9 leafs under it. Any more than adding 2 springs, your lifting too much and will change the angle of the drive shaft and then probably start going thru u joints.

Also, adding the springs makes for a tougher ride, especially if you live on the back roads some where.

I ended up putting a 2 " body lift on the truck and left it at that.
