2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Spring cleanup rust

Trucks only 6 months old but I do a Fall and Spring cleanup on all of my vehicles. Not much rust on the 02, but that NV5600 transmission was all rust You think they just sit them out in the rain and let them get good and rusty before they install them in our trucks? I cleaned it up and painted everywhere I could reach. Doubt if it makes any difference in its life expectancy but at least I know if I run over anyone that as my truck passes over them that they will know I take pride in my truck

I did the control arms (skyjacker 4. 5 lift). Wire brushed them and painted them. The front end needs some work also. That's next weekend... .
