The Mason-Dixon TDC would like to welcome all members here to our annual Spring Dyno Event/BBQ. This years event will be a 2 day event so we can try and get everyone who desires to dyno onto the "Humbler" and shake off their winter cobwebs. So Here is the info of what, where and when...

What-"2009 Spring Fling... . “You are remembered for the rules you break. ”

Where. . SGS Performance

901 Range End Road

Dillsburg,PA 17019

(717)-502-0880

SGS Automotive

Cost... $70 for 3 spins with HP/TQ readings

When... Saturday May 30th & Sunday May 31st

The only rules we will have is stack owners will have to drop their flex pipes or allow us to slide the exhaust tubes down over the stacks and dually owners must remove the outside wheels to help keep the show rolling. Also for the dually owners if you would prefer to dyno with a set of 2500 wheels(singles) some of the guys may be able to bring their extras for you to borrow. Tools will be provided to help and other members will be able to help you if needed. Those who desire to do some BOMBing work may use the shop, but, please all we ask is you clean up after yourself and then dyno during the weekends event at some time. We also would like those who attend to please place their trash into the trash bins and not leave it lay all over the upper field. Also we would like those in attendance to not deliberately tear up the grassy field if we receive any bad weather.

There will be no classes as this is a bragging rights, stick your chest out, outlaw style roll. This means all is fair in love and war,you come in,strap up, let the numbers fly and may the best man or woman,Ford-Dodge or Chevy be the top dog. So who can or will lay the smack down and go home with bragging rights. This is also a rain or shine event so we hope to see everyone there... ... ... Andy

Hey Andy,

Hope you are well.

Wifey is slated to get new kidney 4/21Oo. , if she & her brother (donor) are both recovered enough (I'm playing "Nurse Ratchet":-laf) I'll see you all there. If they're not feeling well enough, or not tired enough of me fussing over them by that point, there's always the Fall Brawl. But, I hope to be there for the Spring.

Later on.

Andy,

Just a few small details and winter improvements should be complete. Looking forward to Fling. Will be there Sat. for sure and will bring some burgers and buns. Hope everything is fine. Will see you soon. Tom

Should be fun as always gents, so let's get the word out there. I know it's later than usual this year, but we're hoping for a great turnout.

I have a question about the dyno. You say you get 3 pulls... Do you have to do all 3 at the same time?

Reason I ask... . 12v stuff can not be changed in 5 min

thanks

From what I've witnessed in past years, all three runs are done in a row. I can't see them splitting them up as alot of trucks past through the dyno during the two days. Maybe a discount for multiple dyno's, check it out but I think the shop is running the dyno, not the club!

Almost too quiet... . hmmm .....

Stories like this almost always involve hard-bit detectives, dames and crime. Jim will probably show up at Spring Fling missing more HP than usual; this is a serious crime. Ted's the perfect gumshoe; with his Duramax, he's clearly the oddball outsider. Now where's the dame? Ah, here she comes ... I think. Wait, no; that's Lloyd in drag. Is he incognito, tired of always being the first suspect questioned when common rail HP goes missing? Or maybe he's guilty, sabotaging Jim's truck because he wants to win the contest. But I'm detecting, stepping on Ted's toes--a dangerous thing to do unless he's dancing with a lady, and I'm neither; I'm just the narrator. Stay tuned to see how the story develops. Don't miss the ending; it's surprising, but not explosive: Doug's not expected to dyno this time 'round.

I do know what you mean. It just sucks because I want to see what my different parts might be doing.

Anyhow if I can get my truck back together it would be nice to make it but I need my truck fixed first #@$%!

Also maybe I can finally get my timing set. I don't even know what it is. . Hopefully it will be a blast like last time I went but I did not even have my truck running yet and here we go again,,,,,,lol

JK.

We don't split up the runs due to the turnout, but in the past, there has been reduced rates for strapping down a second time. Not sure about this year. What's wrong with your truck? Maybe some of us could help you out.

Thanks I will be there either way if my truck stays together. I am not sure if I will be dynoing it or not since I have to do 3 pulls at the same time. If I do one pull it will be the same as the other three so to me it is a waste of time and I would rather someone else use the other 2 pulls that would benefit from it.

As far as problems I have been dealing with these same problems since I bought the truck. NO ONE I MEAN NO ONE has come up to any conclusions or any answered that fixed the problems. I made phone calls from here to cali with talk from some great guys that wanted to help and we just came up blank:eek: so I am just dealing with some of them till I find that right answer to fix them. If you want more I can talk to you over the phone and you will see where I am at. Right now I am dealing with hard starting and thinking getting air into system... I will be checking this out hopefully today... Oo.

I know Mid-Atlantic Diesel will be there. Not sure who else.

With only a week to go, who's bringing what?

I'll be bringing some burgers and dogs.

Delton from Zimmies Automotive will be on hand along with Mid-Atlantic Diesel.

Weather looks like it will be great and hope to see everyone there.....

J-K...

I will ask one of our members to bring his timing kit for you and see if we can get that done... ... . Andy
