When I was on an SRT forum, there was talk of a product called Sprint Boost. It located here This product is said to improve throttle response and there are quite a few SRT owners running said product. They are running the kit with their tinner box's.

I was wondering if it would get rid of the slow response of the torque management that I still have using my Smarty. Granted,I'm only on 3 with the increase in timing, decrease in TM. I've still have not been able to spin a tire yet,its not something I would do very often. But I wouldn't mind being able to power brake when the wild hair flairs up.

What do you fellas think?

Your best bet is to just change your setting on the smarty. The sprint booster does do a great job on other cars but it isnt what u need for the truck.

Hopefully, it's not your torque converter. It was with mine. My truck with Smarty Jr still wouldn't spin the tires while trying to do a "brake torque", it would just rev up to 2800ish. When Dave Goerend cut the converter open, he found that the friction material was glazed and a chunk was missing, thereby allowing hydraulic pressure to leak past the vanes instead of getting directed through the vanes. Night/day difference now!
So to be clear, it wasn't the fried/glazed friction material causing the slipping in first gear, it was the lack of hydraulic seal caused by the chunk missing. The glazed friction band technically only causes problems when the t/c locks up in OD. Hope that makes sense...
