Ok it seems the starting problem is fixed so I put the M4s in today OMG :--) I never could have imagined the difference. I did not realize the boost would go that high I was not driving not that it maters. The temps never went over 1250 but did this thing go my buddy said it's ridiculous :D we got back to the garage I said open the hood lets look one more time for leaks  oil and antifreeze puking out the overflow bottle it just started so did not cover the engine bay. The truck never changed drivability the temp stayed at 180 . I was considering studs I think I will do studs and O rings now once I have to take the head off. I may look into having the job done as I am heading to Daytona in three weeks. Work sure does interfere with my life... George

Looks like I shoulda gotten the 62 instead of the 64. I can't get much over 40lbs.

I went from a 64/14 to a super stock 62 & actually dropped egts by 150-200* & max out at 1200 wot. It is way more fun to drive too..... 55psi boost & instant spoolup will get the blood pumpin.

If the turbo drain pipe was not dented correctly and binding up The wastegate rod you will see boost numbers that are outa hand. My numbers are 40ish with my setup also.

Just a thought.

There is no bind on the rod if you are only getting 40lbs I would check for leaks mine slaped to 53 orso real fast then settled down to 50 or so... George

That is exactly the point, maybe your rod is bound up???? I have mine set to 40psi.

Steve

When I talked to shane at II he said that they set the wastegates to 40ish. He said that 4o-45 is peak performance, over that you are losing performance. I have a silver62 and it is set from them at 42 lbs is the tops I see.

I can double check but it looked like plenty of room for the rod thanks ... George

Just trying to help and also my cousins acted very similar and his wastegate rod was catching on the oil drain tube, same turbo aswell. Good luck , headgaskets suck... . been there twice.

Steve

I saw your truck at massdiesel today... Something on the front of the truck kinda gave it away as being yours ;) :-laf
